There was a time when I thought that attacks like the one below by Chris Bowen on Scott Morrison as a man who lies over and over again would have an effect on the views of the public. But as I keep seeing the Morrison approval rating at a healthy level I fear such attacks may be doing.more harm than good   It is as if voters so expect all politicians to lie all the time. Indeed they are more likely to punish the ones who point out the lies for being whingers than they are the liars themselves.    Scott Morrison lies over and over again, about issues big and small. No surprise that the last few months have seen a significant drift in the betting price of the Coalition to win the next election - our from $1.27 for a dollar to $1.74. And the way things are going with the vaccination program it will be no surprise if Labor shortly ends up as favourite. The government has its problems with matters of rape and sexual abuse more generally but the Prime Ministerial mouth is another major factor in the growing unpopularity. Prime Minister Scott Morrison ended a long streak of supporting losers when he rushed to the Rod Laver court to watch the final minutes of Ash Barty's win in the women's singles. Then things started returning to his normal error ridden style when he wore his boots on to the hallowed court for another photo op. I mean, where were those faithful old trainers when they were needed. So on to another sport and back to supporting another loser; this time the coach of his apparently beloved Cronulla Sharks rugby league team forced out for breaking the rules of the National Rugby League. The Owl reported yesterday on the surprising use of a lump of coal by Treasurer Scott Morrison in his attack on Labor for neglecting the importance of thermal powered electricity. As our picture showed, the Financial Services Minister Kelly O'Dwyer was at one stage enticed to not be afraid of the big black sample. What was not clear to the Owl then was the apparent difficulty that coal can present to pregnant women like the good minister.
