Bad news for the Morrison government as the Porter story shares prominence with the "putrid stench of rotting whale carcass"

Hard for a government to imagine a worse set of stories to feature at the front of The Sydney Morning website this evening. Not much better elsewhere either. The Age was virtually the same. The most read news site in the country, news.com.au, had splashed its revelation of the ex-boyfriend of Attorney General Christian Porter accuser being willing to front any inquiry. Then, having given that yarn a good thrashing, it followed up with the news of what the NSW police had not been told about the alleged rape.

On The Guardian it seemed somehow appropriate for the "putrid stench of rotting whale carcass" to be nestled below the Porter story.
And lest the government spinners thought their job might soon get easier the Guardian had a little pointer under the whale pictyre of the March4Justice protests to take place across the country in the next few days.
