Doubts are increasing about Home Affairs decision

A couple of doubts in this morning's media about Peter Dutton's new mega department

In The Australian  Greg Sheridan pondered the wisdom of Malcolm Turnbull not taking the Home affairs decision to a meeting of the full Cabinet. It was at risk of quickly becoming a mistake the website headline summarised.
A government convinced it’s heading for a loss typically makes the wrong decisions for the wrong reasons. The department of home affairs looks to be, sadly, a classic example of this.
