Rwanda leads the way when it comes to women MPs
When it comes to women in parliament, Rwanda leads the way. The genocide of 1994 apparently opened the way for a dose of equal opportunity. A
just published survey
by the Inter-Parliamentary Union shows that in Rwanda nearly 64% of MPs are female.
Australia just sneaks in to the top 50.
