The forecasting power of Eric Abetz – completely wrong about wages

It was less than a month ago – on 29 January – that Employment Minister Eric Abetz took to the rostrum to warnthat Australia risks a wages explosion that could push thousands of Australians out of work. This morning the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported that ”the growth in wages over the last year of 2.6 per cent, seasonally adjusted, was the smallest through the year rise since the series commenced in 1997.”
